Beacon Hill Area Neighborhood Association

BHANA is a voluntary association of residents (homeowners and renters), property owners and local businesses. Founded in 1978, it promotes the “preservation, protection, and development of the Beacon Hill Area, to provide a better quality environment for living and enjoying the rich multi-cultural heritage of both past and present by extending opportunities to residents; landowners; or anyone doing business in the area; or any interested party through education, along lines of neighborhood and community affairs, and local topics of immediate interest...” We charge no dues, and everyone is invited and encouraged to participate.

BHANA’s general membership meeting is the second Monday of almost every month. Our seven-member board meets almost every month on the last Monday. Meetings are open to all. To keep our membership informed, we produce and print an eight-page monthly newsletter which we deliver to doorsteps through a network of volunteers to 2,200 households; more copies are distributed to local businesses for patrons to pick up.

Elizabeth Eichhorn

President

My husband, Victor, and I moved to Beacon Hill in late April 2022. We went to Porchfest the weekend after we moved in and knew that we had chosen the perfect neighborhood for us. You can usually catch me in my front yard planting more native plants, walking the streets in the early morning, or at Bright Coffee. I have been the chair of the Heart of the Neighborhood committee for the last year, board director, and served on the linear park committee. It is an absolute pleasure to serve as president of BHANA. I love this community and neighborhood.

Erin Campbell

Vice President

I moved here to Beacon Hill in 2021 and was welcomed with open arms by the community. I have served on the BHANA board the past two years. I want to use my experience with local government and my former life as an event planner to foster engagement, advance Beacon Hill priorities, and be an advocate for what makes our neighborhood “weirdly special.” If you see me around the neighborhood it will typically be with my big poofy gray dog named Jet.

Sally Seeker

Secretary

After living in many places and serving in the Army, I moved to San Antonio in 2001 and to W. Lullwood, Beacon Hill in 2007, where I live with my dog and cats (inside) and TNR cats, raccoons, skunks, and 'possums (outside).  I am an attorney with the Federal Government, and I have (and continue to) volunteer with many local nonprofit organizations, but I look forward to volunteering with BHANA just outside my door in this, "The Queen Suburb."

Diana Flores

Treasurer

I have lived in The Beacon Hill Neighborhood for almost six years but grew up near here in the Los Angeles Heights area. I am a retired CPA, spending most of my career in the Corporate Finance area of USAA.  We have 3 grown children and a cat. Our family has lived all over the city, but Beacon Hill has been our favorite neighborhood! I previously served as the BHANA Treasurer for two years and enjoyed it so much I thought I’d give it another run.  My husband Robert and I also head up the BHANA Benevolent Committee.

Decreasha Goodner

Director

As a Texas native, born in Austin and raised in Dripping Springs, I’m proud to call this community home. As a teacher at one of our local neighborhood Academies, I’m passionate about strengthening educational opportunities and fostering a strong, connected community.

As a board director, I will bring this same passion for education, equity, and collaboration. Together, we can make sure every voice is heard, and every resident feels connected to our shared future.

Sam Heinz

Director

I have lived here since 2022 with my husband and I am excited to serve on the board. With a background in public administration, I seek to advocate for our community. If you see me out and about, say hi – I’d love to get to know you and listen to your thoughts, concerns, and aspirations for our neighborhood.

Erin May

Director

I moved to San Antonio in 2005. After living in a few different parts of town, I bought my home in Beacon Hill in 2020 due to the character of the neighborhood and the proximity to work. I still remember receiving my first newsletter and felt a strong sense of community! I’ve had the pleasure of being an H-E-B partner for the past 15 years. When I’m not at the office, I enjoy staying active by walking through the neighborhood and getting together with friends enjoying all San Antonio has to offer.
